Even in prison, criminals have an honor system. Nobody inherently thinks of themselves as ‘evil’. Among these thieves and murderers, there is still a code of honor — albeit a twisted one.

Robledo Puch, however, did not have any scruples while committing his murders. He is the most prolific serial killer in Argentine history and one of the reasons he is particularly hated by the entire country is because he killed old people in their sleep. He killed defenseless people from behind and he attempted to kill babies in their cribs.

He truly lacked remorse for the helpless. Later on, when he was arrested, he was diagnosed by doctors as clinically sane. It was concluded that his murders were committed only to facilitate financial gain. He killed simply because it was more convenient for him, and never seemed to think twice about his murders — even killing his accomplices.

For those reasons, few have been able to spare empathy for the boy that committed these crimes — for that was what he was…
