My father used to say: “Keep it simple, simple.” He stressed the simple.

It wasn’t his saying or anything. My father didn’t like thinking up things that were original. Nevertheless I take pride in following that statement every day.

1. Just Saying Things.

I once read a book called ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy!’ In it, I learned that women value authenticity. As I continued reading I realized everyone values authenticity.

I once went to a party near a castle, after reading this book. We were at the hotel, and since I lost my friends, I found a girl who had a guy talking to her. She rested her head in her palm and looked away from him while his whole body and soul were pointed towards her.

I wanted to ask her where this place or that place was but when I saw her, I really felt like saying: “Do you wanna look out of the balcony?” I didn’t know this woman, and it was a stupid question. Later on I felt like saying- since we were talking about tv shows- that I cried at the end of White Collar.

That was another stupid remark, but I said it. She said “Wow, you must be very emotional.” I thought to myself “Eh… Being yourself is hard.”

I pretty much emotionally packed my bags and got ready to leave the conversation. She turned me around and…
